Identity & Access Management vendor builds privacy function

FourthLine approached the client, an identity and access management vendor with offices around the UK, to understand ways in which we could assist with their privacy resourcing requirements as the company looked to grow in this area.

The issue:

The client was looking to build a privacy function within the organisation. Although they had a compliance manager currently working within the business, their role was stretched. Whilst they were able to focus on privacy from a strategy viewpoint, they simply couldn’t assign enough time to business as usual tasks or the requirements of the impending GDPR.

With a brief to find privacy experts with demonstrable experience and the ability to come into an organisation and work autonomously to establish new processes and procedures, the task with the added challenge of recruiting for a non-central location just out of London.

Our solution:

Due to our extensive network of expert talent, we were able to quickly draw up a shortlist of suitable candidates based on our thorough understanding of the sector. Six candidates were sent to the client to review, and they were keen to interview four of them. Although we were only asked to recruit for one position, the client was so impressed by the calibre of the candidates put in front of them that they decided to offer permanent positions to two of the interviewees.

Since the two hires were made, the client has returned to FourthLine to assist them with further recruitment as they looked to expand their new look privacy team further.
