Online Wealth Management Platform looking to recruit Compliance Officer

A growing and dynamic tech business which provides an online wealth management platform were looking to recruit a temporary Compliance Officer.

The Challenge

The Online Wealth Management Tech Business is owned by a Private Equity firm with an expanding portfolio. Their compliance function was becoming stretched and the Head of Compliance needed to urgently strenghten his team.

Having successfully supported the firm in the past, they came to FourthLine in search of a temporary resourcing solution, to ease the pressure on the compliance department. In addition, they wanted an experienced compliance professional that had a light touch, who could immediately help introduce and implement new procedures and processes.

As with most contract roles, our client wanted someone to start as soon as possible and this happened to fall during the Christmas period. To make things slightly more difficult, the business is based in a location that had a shortage of relevant talent and the new person was required to be present in the office at certain times.

The Solution

We used our extensive network, CRM tools and in-house regulatory compliance expertise to put together a list of potential candidates.

The team worked over Christmas to find, shortlist and present candidates. We presented a very select number of high quality candidates, to save time in the process.

In collaboration with our client, we agreed on two candidates to take through to a first interview and from that, the client was happy to have a second conversation with one of those candidates and then offer them the role.  The candidate started their new role the following week.

By presenting a small number of high-calibre candidates that we knew were qualified to do the role, we cut the recruitment process down and insured our client had someone in the business to relieve the presure on the compliance team within two weeks.

The candidate was delighted to secure a new role to start in the new year and the client could enjoy their Christmas and New Year celebrations, knowing they had a safe pair of hands coming in to lighten the load.
