Having successfully resourced on behalf of the client on a number of occasions, FourthLine were contacted by the Head of Product Compliance at an international retail bank based in London for assistance with an urgent resourcing requirement.
The hiring manager urgently needed to identify a Senior Compliance Officer to support their team, which had seen an increase in workload due to compliance requirements surrounding the launch of a new retail product. In addition, the hiring manager had also acquired responsibility for a capital markets team, so needed someone who had experience of both capital and retail markets.
The client had identified and offered the position to a candidate but having originally accepted the offer this candidate pulled out of the process due to a counter offer. This added only added to the urgency of matters, at which point the client turned to FourthLine.
With a good understanding of the client from previous dealings, FourthLine were able to draw on our extensive network of compliance experts to quickly compile a shortlist of six candidates, presenting these CVs face-to-face to the client a few days after taking the job specification. Three candidates were selected for interview, and we ensured that these would all take place on the same day.
The client was very impressed with the calibre of candidates presented and chose to offer the position to one of the three. Conscious of having lost a candidate during the process previously, the client also selected a back-up option from the three candidates that were interviewed. However, the client’s first choice candidate accepted the offer and from there FourthLine managed the process as the candidate worked their notice.
