The client was an online trading platform based in London that specialises in retail products and offers a broad range of investment products. We were contacted by the client’s Finance Director and CF10a who had researched FourthLine and noted our expertise in the areas of CASS and Regulatory Reporting.
The client was going through an exciting period of growth, whereby they were in the process of setting up a new entity. With the current manager being seconded in that location, the client quickly needed to identify a CASS and Prudential Reporting Analyst who could come in and assist with the daily reporting, client money calculations, quarterly COREP reports, prudential reporting and CASS reconciliations. In the long term, the client was looking to hire on a permanent basis, however due to the current workload they needed to find interim resource to support until a permanent hire could take over.
An impending CASS audit made the hire even more of an urgent requirement and the client had not enjoyed any success through other agencies, or their own internal recruitment channels. This was due to the specific nature of the role, as they were looking for an individual with strong technical knowledge of both prudential reporting and CASS and hands on experience of daily client money calculations, quarterly COREP reports and FSA 001/002 returns all within their daily rate budget.
With a vast amount of experience helping clients find talent solutions within the CASS space, and having recently delivered on a similar role in the North West, we immediately went to our network of CASS and regulatory reporting experts to assess the market. Four candidates were quickly identified, two of which were interviewed, both progressing to final stage. The preferred candidate the client wished to hire was based in the North, so whilst taking care of the usual checks, on-boarding and offer management we also assisted the candidate with their search for accommodation in London as they planned to relocate during the week.
With a swift speed of delivery of just a week and a half between the shortlisting of candidates and the hire of the successful candidate, FourthLine ensured that the client found the analyst with the right CASS and Prudential reporting experience, and one who would be an excellent cultural fit within the firm, whilst their search for a permanent hire continued.
