When we saw that a mid-size general insurance company based in Folkestone was looking to expand their risk function and hire a Head of Risk, FourthLine got in touch to help them develop a recruitment strategy and connect them with the right talent.
The company had come to a dead-end in their search after having previously worked with recruitment agencies that did not have a grasp on the risk sector and didn’t understand the market.
Aside from this, their offices were in Folkestone and they were finding it difficult to locate strong talent within the area.
Faced with a three-week deadline, we knew we had to work fast and efficiently to deliver.
Because of their previous difficulties in understanding the market, we led with a “knowledge-based” approach and provided detailed insights and an appraisal on the interviews they had conducted so far. As well as taking time to get to know the client and understand their hiring needs.
We then used this research and our strong candidate network to put our own search together to find a suitable candidate.
To ensure they were the right fit, we set up meetings between the candidate and six shareholders within the business and the CRO. Not to mention, the Chief Executive as well as the wider team, to make sure it was a cultural fit.
After hiring our candidate, we have also worked with the client since, providing our services for interim work as well as our expertise in developing market insights and intelligence reports.
