Joe started his consultancy career with Andersen during the development of Enterprise Risk Management.  This was followed by a number of roles within industry which all involved a high level of business transformation and regulatory change. Joe has held Group Head of Technology and Change Risk, Head of Risk and Risk Director level roles for a variety of FTSE100 and FTSE250 firms in General Insurance, Asset Management and Life & Pensions sectors.

Representative Engagements

  • Designed and implemented a new Target Operating Model for a Global Insurance Group
  • Preparation and completion of Risk Mitigation Plans for major insurance clients in response to FCA Cyber risk model reviews
  • Set up the control functions for a new Asset Management business
  • Provided Board governance and effectiveness training to UK Banks and Insurers
  • Conducted the design and build of risk management frameworks within insurers, banks and assets management businesses
  • Programme Director on a strategic change initiative for an FTSE 100 business, securing FCA regulatory approval significantly within normal permissions timescales
  • Oversaw regulatory change initiatives under GDPR and IFRS17
