FourthLine are working with a leading Financial Services firm based in South Wales. Our client is looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager to join the current Privacy team and support their data protection compliance programme.

The role will ensure that the day-to-day operations are conducted in compliance with data protection regulatory and legal requirements. This position will focus on the strategic management of data protection compliance and the continued enhancement and implementation of the central data protection / privacy program.

Role Overview:

  • Lead the development of the regulatory change management process for GDPR implementation
  • Maintain and demonstrate a thorough and complete understanding of regulatory environment in which the business operates and the resulting compliance risks associated with the business and activities
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable laws, rules and regulations; and lead the compilation, analysis and interpretation of information about applicable rules, laws and regulations for relevant jurisdictions managing and mitigating gaps
  • Perform independent, risk-based compliance risk assessments; manage the compliance assessment process and implement ongoing compliance monitoring activities for identified gaps and issues
  • Collaborate with relevant departments and develop appropriate policies, procedures and programs to promote organizational compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to support the compliance framework and program
  • Act as a resource and advisor for programs managed by corporate partners including Information Security, and Third Party Supplier Management
  • Manage the development, deployment and tracking of compliance training courses to all employees, contractors, affiliates, business associates and other third parties as appropriate
  • Develop, implement and maintain the compliance monitoring, testing and reporting program to provide senior management with objective and timely assessments of compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Provide advisory support and assurance services to senior management and assist with key strategic projects and regulatory change initiatives
  • Maintain a sound understanding of internal business products and processes

Candidate Expertise required:

  • Experience of regulatory compliance, risk management, or audit experience within financial services industry
  • Management and supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or equivalent
  • Six Sigma/ Process Excellence, Project Management experience preferred, relevant certification preferred
  • Professional compliance certification required

Information Security Manager


I'm working with a Global firm who are looking to identify an experienced Professional in Information Security to join on a permanent basis. The role will involve monitoring the firms ongoing Information Security compliance ensuring all Risks are identified and remediation completed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across the business acting as the point of contact for Information security queries.
  • Conduct Internal and Third-Party Risk Assessments, reporting on the outcomes and providing remediation solutions.
  • Monitor for any Security Incidents or breaches and ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken.
  • Assess the Firm and ensure it is compliant with Information Security Standards & Data Protection requirements e.g. GDPR, PCI DSS, ISO27001.



Essential:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience within Information Security.
  • Hands-on experience of GDPR and ISO27001.
  • Strong influencing ability and able to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.



Desired:

  • Understanding of UK and European/Global Information Security & Data Privacy legal requirements.
  • Hold Certifications such as CISM, CISSP etc.
  • Experience of handling Financial, Health and Employee data.
  • Crisis or Incident Management experience.

  • Further support the automation of reconciliation and reporting processes
  • BAU ICMR

Data Protection Officer

A multi-billion pound technology organisation, with over 20,000+ staff members across the world, are looking to hire their new Data Protection Officer.

This B2B company, based in North Wiltshire (with excellent flexible working available) are paying up to 60,000 p/a. The successful candidate will initially begin smaller scale by managing their UK data protection requirements with a small team, before developing into the management of the company’s EU privacy requirements, and eventually their global function over time.

This very well invested and well supported GDPR change program has been in operation for a period of time, and the incoming DPO will required to manage their migration from this into a more business-as-usual structure.

You will have…

  • a deep knowledge of data protection, GDPR and other surrounding relevant regulatory requirements;
  • experience working within data management/information risk in a large-scale B2B organisation;
  • the expectation of driving the company’s privacy program throughout the business;
  • communication with senior management and stakeholders regularly;
  • a dynamic approach when viewing what data protection requirements that the company has;
  • the responsibility of being the go-to person for all data protection queries and advice;
  • a team to manage, and expectations over time to grow the team;
  • experience leading an audit program
  • a vision for their future global privacy strategy and will create a roadmap to get to them there.

The successful candidate will be…

  • someone with experience managing a privacy team or can demonstrate that they are ready to manage a team;
  • the subject matter expert on privacy and GDPR;
  • experienced with multiple jurisdictions around the world within a multinational/global company within a privacy role;
  • has a good understanding or how a global privacy function operates;
  • a strong leader of their entire privacy function and has the confidence in their knowledge to make decisions by themselves;
  • open to occasional travel, when required.
