FourthLine are currently working with an Global payments processing business who are building their GDPR readiness Programme.

They are looking for a Data Protection Assistant to join their programme. The role will report into C-Level and has a truly broad scope, with offices based all around the globe.

Key Deliverables of the Role:

  • Writing Data Protection Policy across the business
  • Creating and maintaining project documentation
  • Design and deliver training materials across the business

Necessary Experience required:

  • Legally Qualified
  • Previous experience creating Data Protection policies and procedures
  • Inter-business reporting: Exposure to numerous business teams
  • Practical experience in data protection and privacy - advising on policy
  • IAPP or CIPP qualified (ideal)
  • Knowledge of US Privacy Shield (ideal)

Data Protection Officer

My client a global leading technology manufacturer, based in Swindon, is looking to hire a Data Protection Officer to lead and nurture their GDPR programme, and wider global data privacy and governance programme.

They are looking for someone with an exposure of working within a global organisation, and more importantly someone who has either prior experience of leading a GDPR programme or prior experience of leading a specific strand of a wider data privacy compliance programme.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and further building a privacy and data governance programme.
  • Driving the GDPR compliance programme.
  • Senior stakeholder management
  • Managing staff and building up a privacy function.
  • Using a risk-based approach to achieve a robust data protection framework.
  • Instilling a data protection compliance framework across multiple sites globally.
  • Negotiating data sharing agreements between the business and 3rd parties.

Interim Data Protection Officer

I’m working with a Financial Services firm based in Essex who are looking to identify a Data Protection Officer to join on a permanent basis. The role will involve contributing to the delivery of the firms GDPR Programme in order to ensure compliance in line with the May 2018 implementation date.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the Firm and ensure it is compliant with Data Protection laws under GDPR.
  • Provide support across the business reviewing, updating and developing Policies and Procedures.
  • Advise on third party Data Sharing Agreements.
  • Monitor outcomes of Data Privacy Impact Assessments completed.
  • Complete Training and Guidance on all aspects of Data Protection & Privacy under GDPR.
  • Monitor any breaches of the DPA and ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Data Subject inquiries related to Data Protection & Privacy.

Essential:

  • Expert knowledge of Data Protection Law and in-depth knowledge of GDPR.
  • Understanding of UK and European Data Privacy legal requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills and able to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • ISEB or CIPP qualified.

Desired:

  • Experience of dealing with Data Protection & Privacy issues within a Financial Services firm.
  • Ability to speak additional European Languages, preferably German.

CASS Governance Contract

***New CASS contract*** Initially 3 months - Immediate Start South West UK Very competitive day rate. I am representing an excellent client based in the South West whom are looking to on board a contractor to support their CASS office with some ongoing Governance improvements. This will be an interesting and varied position supporting the CF10a and wider Finance, Operations and Risk teams.

The role will be key to:

  • Supporting the improvement of CASS governance, through formailsing and embedding risk appetite
  • Creating and delivering the appropriate committees for robust CASS oversight
  • Helping collate timely, sufficient and appropriate CASS MI to deliver to relevant stakeholders
  • Assisting in CASS remediation exercises and be integral to CASS audit preparations
  • Strengthening existing rules mapping and procedures under the FRC assurance audit standards
  • Making enhancements to the clients CASS RP and CMAR reporting
  • Helping with the oversight of outsourced custodian.
