Senior Accounting & Financial Reporting Consultant

The role consists of:
  • Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102, FRS 101 and IFRSs, including consolidations and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure all client needs are met relating to queries and issues and seek solutions to client's accounting problems and being able to independently research and suggest potential resolution.

  • Providing financial reporting advisory services including accounting standards and adoption of new accounting standards which include IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16.

  • Personally review iXBRL tagged financial statements and ensure tags are appropriately applied and answer any tagging queries from clients.
  • Supervising, coaching, motivating and developing trainees and reviewing and appraising work at the end of the assignment
  • Providing clients with value-adding recommendations for improvements in processes and controls.

In order to qualify for the role, my client is looking for candidates who have/are:
  • Must be qualified Accountant.
  • Previous experience of preparing statutory financial statement in relation with FRS 102, FRS 101and FRSs.
  • Training and knowledge of FRSs ( 9, 15 & 16) is essential.

  • Work with the team to carry out training and awareness, review policies and procedures, complete testing and monitoring to ensure compliance with the firm's privacy framework.
  • Insert privacy language into contracts with third party providers.

Compliance Officer - Guildford - Insurance - Up to £85,000


FourthLine are currently representing our Speciality Insurance Client as they look to recruit a Compliance Officer into their Group Function, with specific oversight of a Lloyd's Syndicate.

You will work closely with the Head of Compliance to oversee the regional compliance operations, providing advice, managing upcoming regulatory change, reviewing policies and framworks, maintain Lloyd's Minimum Standards and ensuring a robust Compliance Culture is embedded.

Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

Liasing with Lloyd's, the FCA and the PRA
Ensuring compliance with Lloyd's Minimum Standards and wider European, FCA and PRA Regulation
Management of Conduct Risk and Complaints

I am seeking an experienced Data Protection Manager to ensure and maintain privacy compliance across the business, providing advice and guidance on all data protection related matters.


Responsibilities:

  • Working with the DPO to develop the privacy function
  • Be the point of contact for any Data Protection queries whether this be with SARs, privacy reviews, DPIA's, recording of processing activities

The role consists of:

  • Ensure that the cash reconciliation on all the regulated accounts are completed and that funding is done in a timely manner.
  • Compile monthly Dashboards and CMAR.
  • Contact external banks where relevant for cash balances and transaction queries
  • Maintain query log and liaise with business areas for resolution.

The position will work closely with the Head of Risk in leading the Risk Management team. The role will take responsibility for building the risk management frameworks, policies and procedures and owning Solvency II risk requirements.

Other more day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop, evolve and embed an operational risk framework
  • Development of an of risk appetite as well as conducting ongoing assessments risk exposure and monitor emerging risks.

Financial Crime Manager - Insurance

A well-known insurance company in London are looking to recruit a Financial Crime Manager on a permanent basis.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Surrey

This role will be reporting to the Head of Financial Crime and work with the wider compliance team across the business. You will undertake the financial crime compliance duties throughout the business keeping on top of monitoring and advisory ensuring that the company meets all regulatory requirements.
