Data Protection Officer

I’m working with a Financial Services firm based in Essex who are looking to identify a Data Protection Officer to join on a permanent basis. The role will involve contributing to the delivery of the firms GDPR Programme in order to ensure compliance in line with the May 2018 implementation date.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the Firm and ensure it is compliant with Data Protection laws under GDPR.
  • Provide support across the business reviewing, updating and developing Policies and Procedures.
  • Advise on third party Data Sharing Agreements.
  • Monitor outcomes of Data Privacy Impact Assessments completed.
  • Complete Training and Guidance on all aspects of Data Protection & Privacy under GDPR.
  • Monitor any breaches of the DPA and ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken.
  • Act as the main point of contact for Data Subject inquiries related to Data Protection & Privacy.

Essential:

  • Expert knowledge of Data Protection Law and in-depth knowledge of GDPR.
  • Understanding of UK and European Data Privacy legal requirements.
  • Strong influencing skills and able to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • ISEB or CIPP qualified.

Desired:

  • Experience of dealing with Data Protection & Privacy issues within a Financial Services firm.
  • Ability to speak additional European Languages, preferably German.

Location: Essex

Salary: 90,000 - 100,000 + Benefits

FourthLine are currently recruiting for an IT Risk Manager to join our insurance client based in Kent. The successful candidate will be hired on a permanent basis, salary dependent on experience.

Joining the organisation as an IT Risk Manager, you will be the SME for the second line of defence.

Some of the main responsibilities of the role are the following:

* Support the design and implementation of the businesses Information and Technology Risk Framework.
* Act SME for the group on information and technology risks.
* Provide second line opinion on whether the wider group has suitably identified and assessed its key IT Risks and put effect mitigation strategies in place.
* Support, challenge and improve the firms IT strategic risk management processes.
 

Suitable Candidates for the IT Risk Manager role may have the following backgrounds or have experience in the following areas:

* Proven knowledge of overall IT risks faced by FS firms.
* Preferably CISM, CISP, CISA qualified, however candidates will be considered without this. * Knowledge of Technology Risk Frameworks (e.g. COBIT, ISF, ISO27000) would be advantageous.
* Financial Services Background (Advantageous)

Data Protection Compliance Manager

£158 - £55000 per annum


I'm working with a leading firm who are looking to identify an experienced Privacy Compliance professional to join on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support across the business acting as a point of contact for Privacy queries.
  • Write and review Data Protection policies & procedures.
  • Conduct multiple DPIA's and wider Compliance and Third-party risk reviews.
  • Establish lawful basis for processing data including completing Legitimate Interest Tests and Assessments.
  • Act as the escalation point for any SARs and Breaches.
  • Working with the Privacy & Compliance teams to ensure the firm remains compliant.



Essential:

  • Must have in-house operational experience of Data Protection & Privacy.
  • Hands-on experience of working on or delivering a GDPR transformation programme.
  • Defined Processor/Controller relationships.
  • Drafted policies and procedures.



Advantageous:

  • Background in wider compliance.
