Fourthline is working with a leading Financial Services business to secure a CASS SME for 3 month change project.

This will be a complex project and the SME will be key to delivering on the below:

- Full end to end deep dive gap analysis of CASS process, then to design and implement CASS Governance and Oversight frameworks, CASS Compliance Monitoring Framework and deliver companywide training and Control function suitability assessments

- Advice on audit findings including successful identification and remediation of issues ahead of auditors, overhaul of firm's policy and procedures and hugely improved feedback of CASS culture interviews.

If you have a deep understanding of CASS, with a broad project background I would be very interested in talking to you.

This is an immediate requirement with initial interviews taking place early next week.

Compliance Counsel

A global IT services provider, headquartered in the US, is looking for a permanent Compliance Counsel to form part of its global compliance team. This role will be reporting into the EMEA Ethics & Compliance Officer and will assist in furthering the global regulatory and compliance framework throughout the EMEA region. The successful candidate, will be a bright, hard-working, and self-starting individual, who will be capable of working within a global matrix team, whilst also be confident in their ability to be one of the Compliance subject matter experts for the organisation within the EMEA region.

The candidate will be a qualified lawyer with 1 to 2 years' post-qualification experience in private practice or as in-house counsel, with a strong exposure to statutory compliance, in particular in the areas of competition, anti-corruption, modern slavery, and due diligence. Also, the ability to carry out operational risk assessments will be required for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice on compliance issues across the organisation and the EMEA in particular.
  • Giving legal compliance support to business units and legal teams.
  • To drive forward the modern slavery project.
  • Oversee the anti-corruption and financial crimes project and further assist with the rolling out of this across the organisation.
  • Managing key stakeholders to align regional compliance with the global compliance programme.
  • Driving regulatory compliance awareness.
  • Assisting with carrying out third party due-diligence activities, in particular, carrying out assessments for M&A transactions within the EMEA region.
  • Assisting with conducting risk assessments.

Location: To be based in Glasgow UK, however flexible working will be permitted!
