Risk Manager

£60000 - £70000 per annum

FourthLine are currently recruiting for an Operational Risk Manager to join our Insurance client based in London. The position will work closely with the Head of Risk in leading the Risk Management team. The role will take responsibility for building the risk management frameworks, policies and procedures and owning Solvency II risk requirements.

Other more day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop, evolve and embed an operational risk framework
  • Development of an of risk appetite as well as conducting ongoing assessments risk exposure and monitor emerging risks.
  • Own the maintenance of the risk register, with support from Analysts in the team.
  • Take responsibility for various Board and Committee reporting and meetings
  • Ensure compliance with wider risk frameworks and awareness of regulatory risk

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and/or experience:

Insurance experience (Insurance broking/General Insurance)
Example previous experience working in a senior level operational risk position, with experience of designing frameworks, policies and implementing change Solvency II, ORSA experience.
Excellent teamwork skills and relationship building skills, including liaising with stakeholders across all levels
Commercial approach to risk and regulation
This role would suit a senior operational risk professional looking to move up into a leadership role managing a team as well as wanting to keep a hands on approach to day to day risk management. We are looking for candidates who want to work in a close knit team in a growing business

Information Security Consultant

FourthLine are working with a leading Financial Services firm who are looking for an Information Security Consultant to join their team in Hampshire. This role will act as an Information Security subject matter expert within the business and help build out a strong Security function.

  • Work alongside the IT Solutions team to embed security design into project teams and templates.
  • Work with the Information Security standards, developing new processes and configuration documents to be followed by the rest of the business.
  • Undertake gap analysis and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation to ensure that the business remains protected.
  • Provide tailored Security Awareness training to all levels of the business as required.
  • Converse confidently with key stakeholders about Information Security risks in the business and propose solutions.

What I am looking for:

  • A Security enthusiast who has experience working with vectors and threat mechanisms and keeps up to date with the latest vulnerabilities and threats within the industry.

Salary: up to £60,000.


IT Risk Manager

FourthLine are working with an Insurance company in Kent who are looking to hire an IT Risk Manager to be the Subject Matter Expert for the Second Line of Defence.
Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure the capability of first line security controls;
  • Provide independent review on security strategy and controls to senior executives;
  • Support the implementation, design and operation of the Information & Technology Risk Framework;
  • Provide guidance on the identification, qualification and mitigation of information and technology risks and support the investigation of operational risk escalations.

What I am looking for:

  • An Information Risk professional who has thorough knowledge of Information and Technology risks, in particular faced by financial services firms;
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, processes and controls;
  • Strong experience of IT assurance activities;
  • Have experience with developing risk assessments and testing controls;
  • Preferably have a relevant qualification like a CISM or CISSP;
  • Familiarity with risk identification and management methodology.

Location: South Kent.

Salary: Up to £75,000.
