A world leader in the banking sector, are looking to between 60,000 - 90,000 per year for a permanent UK Data Protection Correspondant.

This is to help ensure that the company complies with the new GDPR regulation. You will work within the Operations, Continuity and IT Security Teams while working alongside both the Legal and Compliance functions. You will liaise with the DPO to gain direction and understand the best practice principles.

You will…

  • be responsible for undertaking the data-mapping tasks;

  • be replying to data protection queries both internal and externally;

  • have a hand in reviewing how personal data is used;

  • be performing Data Privacy Impact Assessments;

  • responding to Data Subject Access Requests;

  • monitor legislative and regulatory reform and updates;

  • provide data protection training that will help to increase the awareness of the team regarding GDPR and data protection.

  • liaised with senior management and stakeholders;

  • take advice from legal and devise creative and practical ways to ensure compliance;

  • the ability to manage your own time and remain impartial ensuring risks are highlighted effectively and brought to the attention of senior management;

  • the ability to understand complex areas of the law and take ownership of work committing to delivering on time.
