Governance Reporting - 55k – 12 Month FTC - Wealth Management - London/Liverpool

Job Purpose:

To assist the Chief Risk Officer in the effective development and delivery of the Risk & Compliance governance and reporting Framework, ensuring effective compliance support is provided to the regulated businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CRO in developing effective reporting for the Executive, Board and Risk & Audit Committee.
  • Manage the actions for the CRO office, ensuring that these are prioritised and that actions are completed within agreed timeframes
  • Lead the Overall CRO strategy working with the leadership team
  • Own the CRO intranet site and develop innovative ways of communicating with the business
  • Support the CRO when they are sponsoring programmes
  • Provide support on internal and external presentations
  • Coordinate all internal reporting by the Risk & Compliance function
  • Manage internal projects on behalf of the team
  • Develop and implement the Risk and Compliance brand within the business
  • Regularly attend various governance and policy committees as required, providing regulatory insight and challenge where necessary
  • Attend appropriate training events, functions and marketing initiatives when required
  • Support the CRO by providing suitable high-quality management information and analysis on a frequent basis, to enable senior management and the Risk & Audit Committee to understand the material compliance risks facing the group and the actions being taken to manage and mitigate these
  • Providing support to the CRO and colleagues, in contributing to the good leadership and management of the function

Key Skill Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in a clear, concise, compliant and confident manner, ensuring that team members are aware of key developments
  • High professional standards of conduct and practice
  • Ability to identify and analyse information; undertake ad hic assignments and themed activity as required
  • Excellent presentation skills, with experience in Diligent
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Experience of managing large teams and ensuring performance is to a high standard
  • Ability to solve problems and develop workable solutions
  • Influence and leadership skills are a must

Technical Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to demonstrate significant work experience in Financial Services, preferably within Risk & Compliance
  • Knowledge of internal compliance procedures; to anticipate the impact of regulatory changes upon the business and manage overall commercial risk
  • Excellent up to date knowledge of products, funds, markets and appropriate financial instruments; compliance monitoring and oversight; technical support/advice on complex regulatory matters
