A top law firm require a Privacy Lawyer to support their in-house privacy function from their central London office.

This is an in-house opportunity to be the Privacy Lawyer at an organisation that supports some of the best companies across the world. You shall be the law firms specialist point of contact that drives privacy culture across the business.

The day and the life of the chosen professional..

  • Develop and manage the firm's data protection, privacy and cyber security alongside your supportive peers within the business.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure ongoing, company-wide compliance with the GDPR.
  • Create and deliver innovative training tailored to different areas of the business.
  • Conduct and implement Data Privacy Impact Assessments.
  • Review data protection clauses with third party supplier contracts.
  • Manage data incidents and breaches in coordination with the firms key players.
  • Respond to cyber security risks and information security client audits.
  • Communicate and report into the ICO.



What they are seeking..

  • Someone that is legally qualified with PQE experience.
  • An expert to lead the firms data privacy and GDPR strategy.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
  • Experience with information security standards (ISO 27001).
  • Proven experience dealing with data breaches, managing investigations and working with the regulator.

Legal Director

£120000 - £135000 per annum

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Legal Director to join the London office of a multi-national Social Media and Marketing Management firm who have worked with some of the world's most well-known brands.

The role is based in their London office, with the successful candidate acting as the sole counsel for that office, and to build a team beneath them. The role will support the operations in the EMEA region and also deal with the company's global legal team.

The Role:

  • Manage the legal function in the EMEA region
  • Draft and negotiate all forms of company contracts, including SaaS agreements.
  • Provide training to the sales and services teams on processes, compliance and new legislation
  • Due diligence and integration of acquisition targets in coordination with other departments

The Person:

  • Will have at least 7 years PQE with strong experience in a software/technology company, preferably with an international company.
  • Strong experience managing a legal team.
  • Have success working with sales teams in customer negotiations
  • Have an in-depth understanding of contract law and software contract requirements and strong skills in negotiating SaaS agreements.
  • Understand and experience of privacy laws, in particular GDPR.
  • Fluency in another European language would be an added bonus!
  • Excellent organisational skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail, common sense and a sense of humour
  • Ability and drive to learn quickly.
  • Experience of social media would also be a bonus!
