We are currently assisting one of our rapidly growing Consumer Credit clients with their search for a Compliance Manager to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role will be advisory focused, and you would act as the face of the Compliance function interacting with the wider business, with a majority of your time spent interacting with various different teams, and understanding where there are areas for improvement as the compliance framework matures.

A solid understanding of how a 2nd line compliance function operates within a consumer credit organisation is essential, and a wider understanding of retail finance products is highly preferred. Some exposure to working on regulatory change projects such as GDPR / SMCR will also be required.

You will also be responsible for reviewing and assessing the regulatory horizon, providing impact assessments and interpretation to meet the needs of the business.

A global tech firm are looking for a new Data Protection Manager to join their team of privacy specialists based in the UK.


Location: Chester OR Liverpool


This data intelligence leader are seeking a professional to take responsibility of certain projects and business areas that are shared across the team. You will act as a trusted advisor within their international network of customers and business units.

About the role...


  • Be a trusted advisor to the team and across the business, respond to questions and nurture relationships with colleagues, clients and partners.

  • Conduct audits internally and support external audits.

  • Advise certain arms of the business on different regulatory issues.

  • Ensure data compliance through the implementation and maintenance of Privacy by Design.

  • Perform Privacy Impact Assessments and lead the necessary actions.

  • Respond to Subject Access Requests.

  • Provide compliance training to staff to ensure all team members are aware of what is required and advise on their best practices.


About you...


  • Worked in line with with the GDPR, DPA, PECR, ePrivacy and other relevant regulations to provide expert advice to clients and customers.

  • Has a strong compliance track record within a complex organisation.

  • Ability to understand legal contracts and regulatory requirements.

  • Evidence that you are a quick learner and have an inquisitive nature to uncover the full picture for further investigation and resolution.

  • Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels.
