Compliance Consultant - Insurance or Consumer Lending - North West

£35000 - £45000

FourthLine are currently representing our compliance consultancy client as they look to grow their advisory team. Based in the North West, we are looking to speak with strong compliance generalists with experience in Insurance (including intermediaries and brokers) or consumer lending.

The team supports various clients across the UK with a multitude of compliance and regulated queries, including, but not limited to, some of the below:

  • FCA authorisations
  • Review and sign off of marketing materials
  • Review and amendments to policies and procedures
  • Compliance and regulatory change project work
  • Client money queries
  • Ad hoc FCA handbook queries

The role is office based with most client communication via calls and emails. You will have the opportunity to liaise with clients or varying size and focus and be expected to work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth delivery of projects, client needs etc.

  • We are looking for a combination of the below experience:
  • Ideally 2 or more years’ experience in a broadly focused compliance position in an insurance or consumer lending focused business
  • Previous regulatory consulting experience working with various retail financial services firms
  • Expertise in compliance policy or advice
  • Experienced and comfortable working with business stakeholders at all levels

The right candidate for this role will be detail orientated, happy delivering day to day compliance advice as opposed to managing large teams or focused on strategy, etc.

Information Governance Analyst

£28000 - £35000 per annum

I'm working with a Global firm who are looking to identify an Information Governance Analyst to join on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on operational role in which you will be providing support to the Information Governance and Records Management teams.


  • Working alongside the Records Management function, lead a team focused on Document Management Governance.
  • Reviewing document movements internally and externally assessing the Risks involved.
  • Responsible for managing Global Intake, Release and Destruction of files.
  • Ensuring correct Document Management & wider Information Governance procedures are followed.
  • Ensures correct Data Retention and Data Disposal procedures are followed.


  • Document Review experience.
  • Has a legal background i.e. Law degree with Paralegal or Legal Assistant experience.


  • Hands-on experience of Document and Records Management systems e.g. iManage, LegalKey, iRM.
  • Hands-on experience of eDiscovery software e.g. Relativity or Eclipse.
  • Has worked with all aspects of Information Governance, mainly Records Management.
  • Has worked within an International/Global organisation - preferably a law firm.

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 (flexibility dependent on experience)
