Opportunity to join a market leading international payments and technology company as a Senior Privacy Manager!

Do you want to help shape the privacy policies at one of the world's market leading international payment and technology companies? A multi-national online payments company are looking for a permanent Senior Privacy Manager to join their privacy function within the business.

The day to day role

  • Support the Group privacy officer with the complying of all Data Protection regulations
  • Act as the SME for European Data Protection Laws including GDPR and be willing to develop knowledge of Data Protection laws globally
  • Assist the Group and Deputy Privacy Officer in meeting GDPR compliance and other global privacy laws
  • Establishing and maintaining the company's global Data Protection compliance framework
  • Establishing and managing Privacy Champions across group offices
  • Providing advice on projects and to act as a key point of contact for Data Protection issues
  • Reviewing and advising on DPA clauses in customer terms and supplier contracts


Notable requirements and experience needed

  • Ideally 7-8 years' experience as a privacy officer from a finance, insurance or technology background
  • Significant experience in UK & European data privacy laws and a good understanding of the GDPR and it's implications, ideally within an international organization
  • Practical privacy experience in a private sector B2C facing company
  • Experience working with cross border data transfers alongside cross jurisdiction experience
  • Experience working on data privacy impact assessments
  • Data governance and information governance experience is desirable
  • ISEB DPA and/or IAPP CIPP qualifications, especially CIPP / E and CIPM.
  • Post graduate certification in one or more of data privacy, legal, compliance, information technology desirable
  • Candidates with or without legal qualifications are welcome, but must have strong data privacy knowledge and experience, including a strong academic background

  • Someone with working knowledge of data privacy laws, anti-bribery and corruption laws or ant-trust law.
  • A number of years experience as a paralegal.

What does a week at the firm look like?

  • Administrate the compliance function, keeping records, project plans, registrations and databases up to date.
  • Confirm and align policies across the group, including training material for different stakeholders across the group.
  • Preparing the business for audits using checklists and interview processes.
  • Proof-read documents for the compliance implementation plan across the firm.
  • Monitor and report on training completion rates and participation.
  • Liaise with legal and internal auditors of parent companies and partners to ensure alignment of policies, processes, controls and activities.
  • Respond to the inbox of the data compliance office and manage relationships with external compliance providers.
  • Assist in research and identify measures to improve the data compliance culture.

FourthLine are currently working on an exciting role for an In-House Counsel to join our Railways Support client based in London. The successful candidate will be hired on a permanent basis, salary dependent on experience.
Joining the organisation as an In-House Counsel, you will be the right hand to the Head of Legal for the company.
Some of the main responsibilities of the role are the following:

  • Drafting, reviewing & negotiating commercial and IT contracts
  • Engaging with suppliers and partners, including working with internal teams with regards to marketing and GDPR
  • General legal work and providing advice to members of the wider business.


The ideal person will have:

  • 5 years PQE (this is a guide, applications from other levels will be considered if you are able to demonstrate the necessary skills)
  • Commercial law experience gained in-house (or on secondment) or a commercially recognised law firm.
  • Be available to work full time from the City of London offices
  • Have strong drafting skills and experience advising on a range of commercial contracts, privacy matters and advertising work.
  • Be IT literate and also understand IT contracts thoroughly
  • The ability to project manage
  • Be financially astute - understand the financial impact of risk, issues payment terms and revenue.
  • Thrive under pressure and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

One of the nation's leading charities are looking to hire a new Records Manager based just south of the City of London to take control of their records management activities. This role is a senior position paying up to £40,000.

This Records Manager is to work within their Information Governance team across their two sites in the City of London and South-East London managing their highly sensitive information services.

Skills & experience we are looking for:
