Data Protection Officer


A leader in the Education sector are looking for a new Data Protection Officer to start as soon as possible.

Paying up to 55,000 and based in the City of London, this role would give the successful candidate the opportunity to have full autonomy to manage all data protection requirements throughout the organisation and steer the strategic direction of their privacy activities.

In this role, the successful candidate will be…

  • Providing a high level of expert data protection advice throughout the organisation;
  • Get into teams around the organisation advising on working behaviours and providing training;
  • Taking over the steer of their entire privacy function;
  • Responding to any Subject Access Requests;
  • Develop and draft any necessary policies and procedures as well as any documentation or contracts;
  • Carry out Data Privacy Impact Assessments and perform any remediating actions required;

The right person for this role will…

  • Have a desire to change the company’s privacy culture for the better and will actively seek the opportunity to coach and develop the staff communicating privacy in a positive way;
  • Have an expert level of knowledge surrounding the DPA 2018 and the GDPR;
  • Take it upon themselves to host any privacy training and GDPR awareness sessions;
  • Have experience with all areas of a GDPR implementation project;
  • Manage the contact between the ICO and any other regulatory bodies.
