Fourthline is working with a leading FinTech company to source a new Head of Regulatory Affairs. This is an exciting role for a cutting edge provider of Regulatory Compliance Technology solutions into Investment Banking.

The company works to automate manual compliance processes; implementing platforms within Investment Banks that are tailored to their policies.

This role allows the right person to serve as their regulatory expert, working both with the company and their customers. Working as part of the global risk and compliance team you will make frequent use of your understanding of regulations from an Investment Banking viewpoint to ensure information about laws and regulations is kept up to date.

This is a senior position reporting into director level and will cover these main areas:

  • Mapping, approving, and quality assuring content on current , pending, and relevant regulatory initiatives affecting Investment Banking to be uploaded to the company compliance knowledge repository
  • Providing expert advice to clients on relevant laws and regulations for their businesses
  • Serving as lead during the customer on-boarding process and ensuring customer retention

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A deep knowledge of regulations impacting Investment Banking including MiFID II, GDPR, AML, MAR, etc
  • Proven track record of interpreting regulation and communicating governance, risk and compliance advice
  • A Global Banking background
  • Excellent research skills
  • The ability to run a team
  • A legal background (desired)

This is a work from home position with the opportunity to build your own regulatory affairs team.

Interim Credit Risk Modeller

We are currently working with one of our mid-tier financial services consultancy firms who are currently requiring someone to join the team within credit risk modelling.

Background / Experience Required

Monthly Impairment Reporting

- Analyse and report on components of the project impact (delayed repossessions/delayed cures) on portfolio metrics (impaired loan balances etc.) and model outputs

- Produce variance reporting of actual project impacts versus forecast

Monthly Capital Reporting

- Analyse and report on components of project impact (delayed repossessions/delayed cures) on portfolio metrics (default stock) and model outputs

- Produce variance reporting of actual project impacts versus forecast

- Develop and maintain process for calculating an impairment post model adjustment to cover risk(s) not captured by existing model/PMAs

Model Oversight

- Review project impacts on BAU impairment actuals model monitoring and calibration and recommend remedial action to management

- Review project impacts on BAU forecast model monitoring and calibration and recommend remedial action to C&I management

Project/Stakeholder Management

- Attend project updates; forecast capital & impairment impacts of project developments and communicate to management

Background Requirements:

  • impairment modelling experience
  • Forecasting (Ideally within retail banking)
  • Mortgage experience is preferred

Interim MI reporting Manager

We are currently working with one of our major retail deposit taker clients who are in the market for an Interim MI Reporting Manager with a good understanding of corporate development and strategy. This role will entail working alongside the head of Compliance Advice, producing MI reports, identifying key risks for the business and bringing together individual aspects within the MI team and providing a group wide overview.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience within retail finance
  • Must have experience of MI reporting, in particular looking at business models and providing strategy analysis
  • Experience with providing risk overviews, setting risk appetites and outlining strategic overview
  • Experience of working on risk assessments to identify emerging conduct risks for the business
  • Experience of working at the FCA will be preferable but not essential.

Interim Senior Compliance Adviser - Wholesale & Treasury

We are currently working with one of our major retail deposit taker clients who are in the market for an Interim Senior Compliance Advice Manager with wholesale experience, to help advice on regulatory developments; ensuring compliance with treasury products; working with the treasury teams, Compliance and senior management to advice on policies.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience within wholesale, and a good understanding of fixed income, bonds, hedging and currency.
  • Must have experience on working on treasury and/or capital management products
  • Experience with senior stakeholder management
  • Knowledge of money market instruments, MiFID II and market abuse
  • Must be highly analytical and evidence of succinct report writing.
