Would you like to develop the Compliance department of an international media company?

This professional shall be responsible for embedding a strong compliance throughout the business. To do this, you shall partner up with internal leaders, heads of department and employees across their international network. They seek someone that can implement policies, test compliance, raise awareness, suggest solutions and provide administration of this work.

Their UK head office is based in Central London and there will be the opportunity to travel across their international offices. This role will be offering 70,000 to 80,000.


  • Drive a compliance culture throughout the global business.
  • Excel the compliance implementation plan across data privacy, economic crime, geopolitical risk, the environment and relationships.
  • Deliver practical advise and be the point of contact for regional officers and business units.
  • Design training material to deliver to different business units and ensure this is executed by designated participants.
  • Liaise with senior teams across the business and support the management of the compliance team across the business.
  • Maintain a centralised risk register for the Compliance function.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to keep updated with legislative and regulatory developments which affect global compliance issues.
  • Be the trusted advisor to the compliance community at the media organisation.
  • Leverage strong relationships across the business.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Legal professional qualification or worked within a legal compliance culture for several years.
  • Law firm training and in-house experience in a compliance function.
  • Experience in risk management with compliance programs.
  • Drafting of policies and procedures, creating and organising training, leading internal investigations and writing reports on this work.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, anti-bribery and corruption laws.
  • Pragmatic, commercial approach to work.
  • Gravitas, passion and strong ethics to deliver on the role with professional integrity.
  • Ability to build positive, productive relationships with colleagues.
  • Capable of dealing with multiple projects at any one time.

Legal Director

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Legal Director to join the London office of a multi-national Social Media and Marketing Management firm who have worked with some of the world's most well-known brands.

The role is based in their London office, with the successful candidate acting as the sole counsel for that office, and to build a team beneath them. The role will support the operations in the EMEA region and also deal with the company's global legal team.

The Role:

  • Manage the legal function in the EMEA region
  • Draft and negotiate all forms of company contracts, including SaaS agreements.
  • Provide training to the sales and services teams on processes, compliance and new legislation
  • Due diligence and integration of acquisition targets in coordination with other departments

The Person:

  • Will have at least 7 years PQE with strong experience in a software/technology company, preferably with an international company.
  • Strong experience managing a legal team.
  • Have success working with sales teams in customer negotiations
  • Have an in-depth understanding of contract law and software contract requirements and strong skills in negotiating SaaS agreements.
  • Understand and experience of privacy laws, in particular GDPR.
  • Fluency in another European language would be an added bonus!
  • Excellent organisational skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail, common sense and a sense of humour
  • Ability and drive to learn quickly.
  • Experience of social media would also be a bonus!

My client, a global financial services company are looking to hire a Regulatory Compliance Manager to join their Compliance Governance team in the London HQ.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working in a financial services business or consulting role, ideally dealing with CONC products;
  • Knowledge and experience in change/project management and regulations such as SMCR;
  • Experience working closely with senior members of staff, including C-suite and Director level;

Day Rate: up to £275 | London | Min 6 months

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and following up on accuracy and integrity of data being received from outsourced provider.
  • Recommend changes to controls or creation of new procedures to ensure service levels and regulations are adhered to.
  • Manage day to day risk events, incidents and breach reporting between outsourced provider and the client.
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly status updates of Management Information.

The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate minute and action taking for all aspects of the change programme, as well as participating in solution design workshops.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous knowledge or experience of CASS, ideally within a Buy-side firm
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts and internal control operations
  • Prior experience in a support role, comfortable tracking projects, via meetings, workshops updating documents/systems
  • Excellent relationship management, time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team

  • Supporting the DPO in drafting and amending various policies and procedures as well as documentation and contracts;

Global Privacy Lead - 12 Month Fixed term

I'm working with a Global organisation who are looking to identify a Global Privacy Lead to join on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract.


  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection laws under GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act.
  • Provide support across the business on Legal Negotiations with Third Party Suppliers and Clients.
  • Advise on Third party Data Sharing Agreements.
  • Conduct Data Privacy Impact Assessments and monitor outcomes of those completed.
  • Review, update and implement Data Protection & Privacy Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitor any breaches of the DPA and ensure the appropriate remedial action is taken.


  • At least 5 years hands-on experience on Data Protection & Privacy.
  • Previous experience of Negotiating contract clauses.
  • Understanding of UK and European/Global Data Privacy legal requirements.
  • Must have been working on a GDPR in their current role.
  • Comfortable managing both the Strategic and hands-on Operational pieces.
