Assistant Records Manager [12m FTC]

One of the nation’s leading charities are looking to bring onboard TWO dynamic individuals within their Records Management team based just outside of the City of London to revolutionise their records management activities.

The two roles are a senior Records Manager position (paying approximately 37,000 p/a) and an Assistant Records Manager on a 12month FTC (paying approximately 30,000) working together.

These Records Management positions are to work within their Information Governance and Records Management teams across their two sites in the City of London and South-East London managing their highly sensitive information services.

In these roles, you will be provided the responsibility to…

  • Raise awareness of best Information and Records Management practices;

  • Manage their records and information efficiently and to a secure standard;

  • Work with their Information Governance Manager and Information Risk team providing training and awareness on to data protection, information management, information governance etc;

  • Implement and develop new retention policies, data processing systems classification schemes nationwide;

  • Consistently monitor the records management and handling and provide advice and training where necessary;

The ideal candidates will have…

  • A good level of higher education. Degree level or equivalent;

  • A Records Management recognised qualification or can demonstrate practical Records Management experience to a similar level;

  • The passion to bring new ideas and the confidence to suggest new, more enabling processes to Records Management;

  • A working understanding of legislation and regulation surrounding data protection, governance and management

  • The ability to communicate to all level of the team about specialist, complex responsibilities and issues;

  • Strong IT and computer skills and be able to use recognised records management systems.
