Head of Risk

£90000 - £120000 per annum

FourthLine are currently recruiting for a Head of Opeational Risk for a General Insurance firm based in Kent.

You will be required to:

Contribute to the achievement of business objectives through the facilitation of effective and efficient risk and regulatory compliance support and to work with team colleagues to ensure a consistent maintenance of the Risk Management Framework throughout the group.

Ensure that all risks and emerging risks are appropriately identified, assessed and mitigated in a consistent manner across the Division, issues are raised and appropriate controls implemented and tracked to completion within a timely manner.

Provide regular reports, to various audiences, to provide a current position with regards to all risks, issues, emerging risks and Key Risk Indicators.

Facilitate appropriate Business Continuity practices across the group. To take responsibility for the maintenance and consistent implementation of the risk management framework across the group.

Profile Desired

  • Extensive experience working in a either a Risk Manager or Head of Risk role for an insurance firm.
  • Strong technical understanding of Solvency II.
  • Experience of PRA liaison.
  • Maintaining systems and controls on the company's risk framework.
  • Experience of managing teams.

SMCR HR Consultant

FourthLine is working with a household name in the General Insurance sector who are looking to bring in a contractor to support the embedding of SMCR into their business.

This role will work very closely with the change team, supporting HR, Risk, Compliance and other areas. This will be an initial 3 month contract with likelihood of further work.

The role will be best suited to immediately available people with a strong background in the following:

  • Track record of SMCR in Financial Services (ideally from an operational embedding perspective)
  • Work history in HR again from a General Insurance background
  • Experience of working with Executive members, with the ability to influence, advise build strong working relationships
  • Nice to have, wider regulatory and/or compliance knowledge in FS.

Risk Business Partner

A FourthLine client in the south east of England are looking for a Risk (Operational) Manager to start a 3/6 month contract in May.
The role will allow flexible working and a rate between £350/£400 per day.
The role requires:

  • Support the Development and promotion of the risk framework
  • Ensure alignment between risk and opportunity
  • Support the 1st and 2nd line
  • Deliver the Risk Change programme in a positive way
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Insurance background would be preferential.
  • Experience with Risk framework, conduct risk, risk appetite, risk dashboards, controls, and risk registers is essential.
  • Strong Risk Technical Skill set.
