Financial Crime Manager - Insurance

A well-known insurance company in London are looking to recruit a Financial Crime Manager on a permanent basis.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
Location: Surrey

This role will be reporting to the Head of Financial Crime and work with the wider compliance team across the business. You will undertake the financial crime compliance duties throughout the business keeping on top of monitoring and advisory ensuring that the company meets all regulatory requirements. This role will give you great exposure to senior management and you will interact with key stakeholders.
The business currently has a very good financial crime team that will be working alongside you. For a large company they maintain a friendly yet professional environment. This position will require a minimum of two years working in financial crime for an insurance firm.

The roles main responsibilities will be:

  • The successful candidate will be producing MI to highlight financial crime risks to the business.
  • Assist the Head of Financial Crime with various projects which may include testing procedures, maintaining policies and investigations
  • Help oversee the Head of Financial Crime with the financial compliance programme
  • Escalating breeches found to senior management
  • Maintain and update ABC and gifts and entertainment register
  • Manage the financial crime inbox



You will need:

  • To have two to three years of experience working within financial crime compliance.
  • Understanding of how insurance businesses operate.
  • Able to work collaboratively with the wider team.
  • Understanding of ABC and gifts and entertainment

Compliance Officer - Guildford - Insurance - Up to £85,000


FourthLine are currently representing our Speciality Insurance Client as they look to recruit a Compliance Officer into their Group Function, with specific oversight of a Lloyd's Syndicate.

You will work closely with the Head of Compliance to oversee the regional compliance operations, providing advice, managing upcoming regulatory change, reviewing policies and framworks, maintain Lloyd's Minimum Standards and ensuring a robust Compliance Culture is embedded.

Day to day responsibilities of the role will include:

Liasing with Lloyd's, the FCA and the PRA
Ensuring compliance with Lloyd's Minimum Standards and wider European, FCA and PRA Regulation
Management of Conduct Risk and Complaints
Review, amend and implement new policies and procedures, including but not limited to Data Protection, Financial Crime, etc.
Provide regular compliance reports to senior management and the board

The ideal candidate will have

3 or more years of experience within Compliance and Regulation with knowledge and experience working in the Lloyd's market
Some experience of run off business or acquisitions would be preferred, but not essential
Working knowledge of Lloyd's minimum standards
Direct experience of personal lines insurance and/or complaints management
Comfortable working independently with a solutions focused approach

Group Data Protection Manager

FourthLine are working with an Insurance company who are looking for a Data Protection Manager to join the firm at Group level in Oxfordshire.

I am seeking an experienced Data Protection Manager to ensure and maintain privacy compliance across the business, providing advice and guidance on all data protection related matters.


Responsibilities:

  • Working with the DPO to develop the privacy function
  • Be the point of contact for any Data Protection queries whether this be with SARs, privacy reviews, DPIA's, recording of processing activities
  • Review any big projects or programmes that require advice from a privacy perspective
  • Review any legal contracts and advise where necessary
  • Assist with data security incidents and breaches
  • Provide Data Protection advise on global information systems
  • Work across functions collaboratively on privacy matters
  • Update any policies, processes in line with GDPR
  • Communication with key stakeholders, reporting on progress


Essential:

  • 2 years data protection and privacy experience
  • Self-starter and able to positively influence people within organisation
  • Experience maintaining a privacy compliance programme


Desired:

  • CIPP/E or CIPM or Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection/Privacy
  • Financial Services experience - favourable although not essential
  • Strong people skills, adaptive to different environments
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships
