Information Governance Lawyer

£60000 - £90000

I’m working with a Global firm who are looking to identify an Information Governance Lawyer to join on a permanent basis. The role will involve consulting the business on Information Management procedures and ensuring ongoing compliance with GDPR and other relevant Data Protection & Privacy regulations.


  • Assess the Firm and ensure it is compliant with Data Protection laws under GDPR in relation to Information Governance.
  • Develops, implements and maintains internal Policies & Procedures in relation to Privacy, Information Security and Data Governance.
  • Manages the internal E-Discovery process and training programmes.
  • Advises staff about Records Management, Data Privacy and Security best practices.
  • Ensures correct Data Retention and Data Disposal procedures are followed.
  • Working with other departments including Technology and Litigation.


  • England and Wales qualified Solicitor at least 2 years PQE.
  • Strong influencing ability and able to build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Open to occasional travel.


  • Preferably from a Litigation background.
  • Hands-on experience of E-Discovery.
  • Has worked with all aspects of Information governance.

Location: London / Manchester

Salary: 60,000 - 90,000 (Dependent on Location & Experience)

Duration: Permanent
