JOB TYPE: 12 Month Contract
LOCATION: London

A leading International Banking firm are looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Officer for a 12 month contract.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Strong experience in delivering reports
- Strong experience in Testing, and desk-based Thematic Reviews
- Look at key risks and issue reports on action and remediation
- Strong knowledge of FCA handbook and regulation

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED;
- Drafting Regulatory Risk reports
- Testing and documentation
- Thematic Reviews
- Demonstrable attention to detail and analytical skills

PREVIOUSLY DELIVERED;
- Compliance Monitoring in Banking, Capital Markets
- Testing effectiveness
- Internal Audit experience also considered, but focus must be on regulatory risk

Risk Practitioner


I'm working with a Trade Finance firm who are looking to bring in a Risk practitioner on a 3-month contract to start immediately, working around Operational Risk and Financial Crime.


The Role

The job holder will be responsible for conducting Operational Risk Frameworks across every department including building RCSA's, heat mapping and monitoring and testing controls. The successful candidate will be highly experience operational risk practitioner with the ability to hit the ground running and working without to much guidance.


Key Responsibilities;

  • Conduct Operational Risk Frameworks across every department, Producing final reports and Heat Mapping.
  • Financial Crime - Monitoring all risks associated with Financial Crime across the business.
  • Liaising with all relevant stakeholders within each department.
  • Trade Finance experience is essential.
  • Monitoring all regulatory risks associated with the business (Financial promotions, modern slavery act and TCF)


Key Skills Required;

  • Design, Build and Implementation of RCSAs & Risk Framework
  • Heat map production
  • Monitor and test the Controls
  • Gravitas and the ability to exert influence
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders in each department

Group Policy & Risk Reporting Contract

Group Policy & Risk Reporting Contract - Up to £300 P/D
The team are responsible for:
Drafting and overseeing the production of high-quality reporting and conduct risk data aggregation from business areas to group level
Communicate the reporting to group risk committees and senior risk stakeholders for the group wide Conduct risk director
Creating conduct risk policy, creating, embedding and maintaining the conduct risk framework, in addition to developing controls and putting some compliance systems in place.
The role will be key to supporting the Risk oversight committee on a wide range of activities including:

  • Ensuring all reports for the Risk forums are delivered to a high standard under timely deadlines, sourcing data from various business areas
  • Positively impact the oversight of group risk policy, keeping policies easy to understand and adhering to minimum standards
  • Support the Group Risk director on the development of regulatory briefings from time to time
  • Use technology to enhance the risk reporting and policy accessibility experience


To be successful in the role you have/be:

  • A track record in regulatory compliance, with exposure to the FCA and European regulators
  • Accustomed to drafting high calibre reports for senior teams
  • Able to work in a fast-paced group structure
  • Strong analysis and good judgement around risk issues
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, able to source the information needed from teams, including that of 1st line

Conduct Risk SME - Up To £600 P/D

The team are responsible for:

Communicate the reporting to group risk committees and senior risk stakeholders for the group wide Conduct risk director
Creating conduct risk policy, creating, embedding and maintaining the conduct risk framework, in addition to developing controls and putting some compliance systems in place.

  • The role will be key to supporting the Group Risk Director, in the main to deliver a new conduct risk framework.
  • Maintain risk appetite, supporting the consistency of risk frameworks into group structures.
  • Support the regulatory development teams, advising on complex matters, enabling the business to make accurate decisions, develop responses to regulatory where necessary


To be successful in the role you have/be:

  • A track record in regulatory compliance, with exposure to the FCA and European regulators
  • Ex regulator experience or Big 4 would be desirable
  • Delivered new or enhanced conduct risk frameworks, including robust controls and compliance systems
  • Strong policy, procedure and regulatory process understanding
  • Able to work in a fast-paced group structure
