Fourthline are currently engaged with a leading Investment Management firm who are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support with Back Office functions.

We're looking for a candidate with excellent, proven stakeholder management skills across all business lines, with a track-record of technology driven Business Analysis work. We're seeking solution driven professionals, experienced in technology implementations.

LOCATION; This role will based in London, with occasional travel required to other national offices.

ROLE;

  • Back Office analysis: working closely within the allocated functional area to help design, build & implement the target operating model (TOM) and application functionality. This will include the adoption of already existing group wide processes and applications. The Business Analyst will work with the business and the suppliers to drive solution configuration and implementation.
  • Technical applications analysis: working closely within the project team help co-ordinate the business acceptance testing of a number of applications within the back office. This will include analysing the applications and understanding the most pragmatic way to ensure that the applications and business are ready for use on the appropriate deployment date



RESPONSIBILITIES;
To determine and action all necessary activities to successfully complete a business analysis effort, including as appropriate:

  • Define the target operating model in lower levels of detail including:
  • Documenting processes and contributing to procedures
  • Assisting with Test Preparation and Strategic testing framework
  • Identify governance and control mechanisms
  • Solution design - working closely with the architecture function
  • Involvement in the design, definition and implementation of data migration/population as appropriate
  • Interface with vendors
  • Define and support business acceptance testing
  • Support the business in business readiness where needed



TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Strong Process Re-engineering experience - Proficient on MS Visio
  • Strong issue resolution skills - able to analyse problems, shape options and reach agreement on preferred solutions



QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience
  • Desirable Qualifications: External accreditation in Business Analysis

  • Solution assessment and validation
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Strong experience with the credibility to shape functional processes within known constraints

  • Experience in business acceptance testing
  • Desirable - experience of back office functions (HR, Finance, Risk or Compliance)
  • Asset Management experience highly desirable preferably within a Performance, Client Reporting or Investment Risk function

My client, a prestigious information services company, are looking for an Enterprise Risk Analyst to support the update of the Risk Management framework.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Programme Manager and Head of Risk to deliver the new framework, tools and documentation across the company.
  • Enhance the companies Risk and Control frameworks, writing associated policy and framework documents.
  • Deal with all Risk Management queries as the point of contact for Risk issues within the business.
  • Identify, document and implement improvements to risk management processes.
  • Participating in company-wide Risk Management project meetings and initiatives.


Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of Operational Risk Management processes, practices and frameworks, with particular focus on COSO and IRM frameworks.
  • Knowledge of different risk types and the importance of Risk Management across multiple functions.
  • Understanding of Risk factors within data, information systems and technology.
  • Can balance the commercial needs of a business while providing Risk management advice.
  • Excellent Stakeholder management skills including relationship building, dealing with Senior managers and delivering training, guidance and coaching.

The Compliance advice is currently outsourced, and to support their exciting growth they are looking for someone to take ownership of constantly updating their policies and frameworks for clients.

The company provide a range of services to Wealth Managers, IFA's and Tier 2 Banking clients. Their objective is to help firms understand their unique market positioning in areas of people, regulation, systems, etc. by producing detailed reports to help firms understand their key priority areas for improvement.

As Compliance Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, developing and delivering tailored compliance content to clients;
  • Managing the online compliance helpdesk;
  • Working with the board to ensure Compliance agenda remains up to date and relevant.

The ideal candidate will have some of the below criteria

  • Compliance experience within a wealth, IFA or consulting environment;
  • Background as a paraplanner, or financial advisor would be ideal but not essential;
  • Professional qualifications (CISI) or industry qualifications (Level 4 Diploma);
  • Excellent knowledge of FCA regulation as it applies to the Wealth Management sector especially;
  • Innovative and creative approach, must be solution orientated and hands on with technology.
