Data Protection Specialist

I’m working with a Multinational firm who are looking to identify a Data Protection Specialist to join on a Fixed Term basis for 9 Months. The role will involve monitoring the firms ongoing compliance with GDPR and other relevant Data Protection & Privacy regulations. Responsibilities: Conduct internal Data Process Mapping and Gap Analysis to identify risks. Create Mitigation and Risk Remediation plans. Provide support across the business drafting, reviewing and updating Policies and Procedures. Liaise with Senior Stakeholders & Third parties on Data Protection Risks and Privacy Compliance. Produce Data Privacy Impact Assessments then review and monitor outcomes. Work closely with other teams including Information Security to complete Due Diligence checks. Essential: Hold a recognised Privacy qualification i.e. CIPP/E or BCS (ISEB). Experience working within Data Protection cross-jurisdictionally. Able to understand and operationalise UK and European/Global Data Privacy legal requirements. Strong influencing ability and able to build and maintain relationships with Senior Stakeholders. Strongly Desired: Experience working within a Multinational company. Hands-on experience working with HR and employee Data. Excellent knowledge of Data Protection Law and in-depth knowledge of GDPR. This is an SME role and requires you to be hands-on as well as design focussed. Services within your remit will include Branch office and Data Centre Security, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Internet, Web Proxy/URL Filtering, IPAM and External DNS and Remote Access VPN (amongst others). - You will work closely with the Network Security Manager in recommending new networking technologies to improve performance and reliability. - Produce and create all Network Security related HLD and LLD's inputs. - Identify and correct network non-compliance issues. - Work with the Manager to maintain a delivery roadmap for NS products and services with a rolling 2 year outlook.
