In House Lawyer (Commercial)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a commercial lawyer to work within the legal team of a large multi-national company. The multi-faceted role includes providing expert commercial and contractual legal support to a variety of clients to help expand and cultivate working relationships. The role is to work with the head of the Head of Contracts & Commercial, and is an additional role to join the existing dedicated team of three. The role can be based in either of Manchester or Leeds. Responsibilities: Drafting, reviewing, advising and negotiating contracts with suppliers across the business. Advising the firm generally on contractual matters. Drafting, reviewing and advising on client specific agreements and agreeing the terms with that client. Reviewing and considering new legislation and it's impact on the company, advising of changes needed to the firm whilst designing new policies and procedures and changes to contracts or client terms. Advising on the firm's contractual agreements with external parties. Any other duties as reasonably required by the role. Skills: A qualified lawyer (circa 2-6 Years PQE or equivalent) with commercial contracts experience. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to be tactful when required. Exceptional organisational skills. Strong financial and commercial awareness. Great time management skills and ability to prioritise. Regulatory Authorisations Manager

FourthLine are exclusively representing an up and coming financial technology provider as they look to hire a Regulatory Authorisations Manager to their expanding London operation. The company has gone from strength to strength over the past two years offering services such as peer to peer lending, pre-paid card services, currency exchange and much more. In order to support the launch of new retail trading products cross jurisdictionally, they are looking to hire someone to own and manage all their regulatory authorisation processes. Joining the Global Licensing team, you will also be responsible for all of the firms banking policies and procedures. You will need to have knowledge and experience of: Drafting banking authorisation applications or related applications that have been granted by applicable regulators in the UK, EEA and/or US. Experience of retail investments authorisations would be preferable. Excellent knowledge of UK/EEA and/or US banking regulation. Experience working for a regulatory / compliance consultancy, legal firm, or an investment brokerage would be ideal. Project experience and ideally knowledge of change management process tools. The successful candidate... Strong experience as a privacy advisor for a commercial business. In depth understanding of the GDPR and the DPA 2018. Operational experience carrying out DPIAs, SARs, employee monitoring, third party contracts and breach management. Gravitas to influence employees to think in line with privacy in their day to day working lifestyle.
