Data Protection Manager

A global technology firm are looking for a new Data Protection Manager to join their global team of specialists. Location: Nottingham (open to London, Chester, Liverpool and Worcester) This data intelligence leader are seeking a professional to take responsibility of certain products that are assigned to different members of the team. You will act as a trusted advisor within their international network of customers and business units. This role offers great opportunities to learn from a privacy team that have a wealth of experience with different customers across multiple jurisdictions. The chosen professional needs to be ready to step up to the challenge of working for an international player where data drives the success of the business. About the role... Be a trusted advisor to the team and across the business, respond to questions and nurture relationships with colleagues, clients and partners. Conduct audits internally and support external audits. Advise certain arms of the business on different regulatory issues. Ensure data compliance through the implementation and maintenance of Privacy by Design. Perform Privacy Impact Assessments and lead the necessary actions. Provide compliance training to staff to ensure all team members are aware of what is required and advise on their best practices. About you... Worked in line with with the GDPR, DPA, PECR, ePrivacy and other relevant regulations to provide expert advice to clients and customers. Has a strong compliance track record within a complex organisation. Ability to understand legal contracts and regulatory requirements. Evidence that you are a quick learner and have an inquisitive nature to uncover the full picture for further investigation and resolution. Ability to persuade and influence others at all levels. How Informa is able to comply with these regulations will be critical to maintaining our client relations and trust in our brands. The role will entail working closely with a wide number of internal teams (marketing, sales, product management, compliance) and all other relevant stakeholders to build an understanding in the division of data protection issues and to ensure we are compliant with applicable regulations, primarily GDPR. This role will advise on all areas of data privacy matters and their application to Informa systems, processes, policies and products within the Division following the Group standards.
