FourthLine were engaged by a well-established Regulatory Consultancy specialising in Fund Compliance based in London who we had worked with previously.
With a strong relationship already in place, the client came straight to FourthLine when they were looking to bring in a new Compliance Consultant. The firm was going through a period of growth following an acquisition and signed off on the new role following the announcement of their annual budget.
The client was looking for an expert with consulting experience in a hedge fund or asset management firm, with previous exposure to areas of MiFID and AIFMD.
However, the role was proving to be a challenge to resource for due to several factors. There was a lack of suitable candidates on the market, and those who were suitable weren’t necessarily looking to move due to the timing of the vacancy.
When resourcing for the role proved to be something of a challenge, FourthLine persevered where other recruitment agencies may have moved on.
FourthLine proactively headhunted, identifying two suitable candidates from a candidate-short market, alongside a candidate that we had kept in touch with following a previous placement. We met with the client to get an understanding of their culture and future direction, and were confident that the candidate we previously knew would be a good fit.
Some negotiations were required to successfully align the client’s offer with the candidate’s expectations, and following FourthLine’s determined perseverance the candidate accepted the client’s offer.
