Media giant recruits Data Privacy expert

A global digital media giant who had found itself trapped in a stagnant hiring process contacted FourthLine to support them to find an individual to act as the Privacy Manager for the EMEA region.

The issue:

Having seen a number of candidates, it became quickly apparent that finding someone with the necessary data protection expertise to assist the Chief Privacy team in the roll-out of the GDPR programme across the group, whilst also harbouring a strong understanding of the privacy implications of using ad-tech and martech, would be challenging.

The solution:

With a number of agencies working on the role for months but with no avail, Fourthline stepped in.
Our client was impressed by how we assess each and every candidate that comes to us via our bespoke Core Competency Framework, a method by which we gain a thorough understanding of a candidate’s competence and suitability to the marketplace before we present them to a customer.

The above process was no different. Having thoroughly assessed our candidates, we then visited the client and presented a shortlist of the best talent to the hiring manager.

After months of “hit-and-miss” candidates, following the presentation call, the hire of A Data Protection subject matter expert, able to balance both the legal, and operational, Data Protection requirements with a  strong legal background, including 4 years’ PQE was made.

With over 60 new data protection candidates added to our pool of candidates every week, assessed in accordance with our Core Competency Framework, our customers benefit from speedy delivery and a better understanding of the Data Protection sector than our competitors, who have a tendency to combine Data Protection with Compliance and Risk Management disciplines.
