The Challenge

FourthLine were engaged by a Lloyd’s Underwriting business to recruit for two separate Compliance positions within the space of two months. The business was looking to recruit for both a Compliance Generalist and a Compliance Monitoring & Regulatory Affairs Officer. After a period of time working directly on these positions, the business contacted FourthLine as a specialist supplier of recruitment in the GRC space.

The Roles

The business required a solid Compliance generalist with an extensive background in Insurance to come into the business and ‘hit the ground running’. Ideally this person would have particular experience around Monitoring, Financial Crime and Data Protection.
With regards to the Compliance Monitoring & Regulatory Affairs Officer, the business had particularly struggled to identify a candidate with a comprehensive background in and practical knowledge of Data Protection. After conducting a detailed and technical Job Specification phone call with the Hiring Manager, this was highlighted as the key essential experience required for the position.
Following a recent rebranding of the business and internal restructure, it was also imperative that both these individuals could represent the company’s values and to be respected as a ‘go to’ advisory figure head for numerous stakeholders across various departments.

The Solution

By ensuring that a thorough Job Specification call with the direct Hiring Manager was performed in addition to identifying where the process had been unsuccessful previously, FourthLine were able to effectively consult our existing network of pre-qualified Compliance candidates and provide a quality shortlist to the business.
